This week was amazing!!!
First off, I got my new companion and her name is Hermana Backus. She is from Northern Nevada and this was her first week in the mission field!! She is brand spankin new! Its been so much fun training a new missionary, she has so much fire and desire to be out here and knocking doors in the freezing cold, while its dumping snow. I love it!!! Poor kid has been so tired all week though, but hasnt complained once! She is a trooper!
Also fun fact she went to the Mexico CCM for her missionary training and she stayed in the same casa that I did when I was there! It was just ment to be.
Highlights:
-Last night we had dinner with the Martinez family (our Branch President), and there was also 3 other families there. After church Hermana Martinez comes up to us and asks if we can come over for dinner, then she goes oh and there is gonna be nonmembers there, then runs to talk to someone else. So we were like awesome! In total there was probably about 16 people there, it was so much fun, especially while we shared a message, it was so powerful and by the end everyone was testifiying of Jesus Christ. I loved it!!
-It snowed a bunch here over the weekend, it is so pretty and white. It feels like Christmas again! But sadly it also got super cold this week. Its all good though because we are staying warm!
-Hermana Backus first day we went to this families house for dinner (the delgados) and they had a parot (bird), and he came out of his cage and chilled on our shoulders then tried eating our food! It was legendary!
