Buenooooo!!!
Feliz Navidad y prospero Año Nuevo 😄
Last general conference President Nelson invited us to all read the Book of Mormon cover to cover by the end of the year and highlight all the different references to Christs name. So over the past few months I have been reading the Book of Mormon in spanish daily so I could finish it by the end of the year, and on Christmas day I finished it! I just wanted to share my quick testimony to all of you that I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, and that as we are immersed in it daily it will bless our lives so much, and we can have that spirit that it brings to our lives throughout the whole day. Ive watched this Book bless my life and so many others, and I am so grateful I have the opportunity to share my testimony about it every day with those I meet.
Highlights of the week:
-We learned how to make "paches" (I think thats what they are called...) otherwise known as "Tamales con papa" with la Familia Barrera this week, they are from Guatamala and are a Guatamenteco version of a tamale, they are soooo good!! But take a ton of work, its worth it though! We also got to try this fruit called "jocotes carona", oh my word best fruit I have ever eaten!!! Normally they dont sell them in the states, bht they had them in the Mexican markets for Navidad!
-Gaby and Aldo came to church, plus church was only an hour so everyone seemed to love that, so many people were out of town but so many families who dont come very often came so it was packed!
-We had a Christmas Zone conference this week and it was so amazing, I learned so many new things in Luke 2 and other scriptures that I didnt know before.
-We got to Skype home and see our families!!!!
-For pday we got to buy pants because we can now wear pants tracting!!!!! Best Christmas present ever!!!
-Oh I also got to eat at Canes today and see one of my old comp Hermana Durón!!
Yup, Living the Dream!
Quotes from my lovely companion:
*Hermana Norton while tracting, with a huge smile on her face* "They are coming, they are speaking spanish, and they are angry!"
*Hermana Norton once again with a hug smile on her face after getting hung up on while talking on the phone* "Wow! He just hung up on a child of God!" *Then laughs it off*
Have a great week, and Happy New Year!!!
