This week was a rollercoaster ride, ups and downs, we were even thrown through a loop or two, but all is well and we are excited for what this week will bring. We dont have a ton of time to email today because we have about 52 billion things to do, so I will make this a quick one.
Highlights:
-We went on exchanges with the Northshore Sisters, Hermana Page went to their area with Sister Caldwell and I stay in Chi 5 and got Sister Webber for the day. It was a blast and a half! Sister Webber doesnt speak spanish so during our lessons she wouldnt say much, but when she did I got to translate for her. Let me just say she is a real trooper! Having to come to a spanish area for a day, and bike all over town, and yet she did it all with a smile!
-One of the lessons we had on exchanges was with this family we started teaching my second day in the area. Their names are Marcelino and Maria (but we arent 100% sure thats even her name...). Anyways we taught the Plan of salvation and they opened up to us SO much! It was a pretty powerful lesson, at the end of it I did the soft baptismal invitation and they were lile yeah we wanna to be baptize when we know these things are true, and long short they ended up accepting a baptismal date for the 1st of December!! Poor Sister Webber had no idea what was going on so after I explained everything and she gpt so pumped for them, it was pretty funny!
-We had our ward Halloween party this week, and they didnt hand out the candy until close to 9 around the time we left! They know how to party all night thats for sure!
-The other day we called one of our investigstors who I mentioned last week named Avelina, to see if she could come to the Halloween party and she just goes "Hi, who is this? Page? Oh my Aunt died..." we were like what?! So she couldnt make it to the party and didnt get back home until right after church ended on sunday. It was sad. But when we went over for a lesson her husband John joined us and we also taught the plan of salvation and basically told them where her aunt is right now, they loved it and it was so cool teaching them both!!
-ohhh funny event of the week, so Elder Leal is training a new missionary named Elder Torgerson, and the other day while we were at the church he called us saying he lost his Greenie!!! He was so worried, it was actually pretty funny! We offered to help him look for him but luckily he gave his greenie their phone number and he used someomes phone to call him, well turns out he was at Wendys! Im our area!!!! It was probably the funniest thing ever. They are never living that one down!
That was basically our week!
I hope you all have a great one!!
