1/15/2018 Nilda...on date?

Nilda is so awesome, she reads in the Bible and the Book of Mormon every day and understands what it is talking about. The other day we wanted to share a story in the bible telling her to turn to Genesis 19. Without us even telling her what the story was about she gave us a whole summary of that chapter, and what it is we need to learn from it. It was really cool becuase we were able to have a really good discussion with her. She said she was baptized about 20 years ago, and claims that it was our church but it seemed funny to me that she didnt know what the Book of Mormon was, or Joseph Smith or anything that was unique to our church and the restored truth we have today. I had asked her several times what it was called but she could never remember all she knew was that it was in Griffith Indiana.

I was really thinking about how we could figure this out and help her remember what church it was when I got a prompting to show her a picture of our church building and then other churches in Griffith (especilally the Baptist one because they do things very similar to our church). We were able to find pictures then the next lesson I showed her the different churches. Surley enough it helped her remember and she was able to point out that it was the Baptist church over in Griffith. We were able to talk to her about how it was important to be baptisted  by the authority of God and then put her on date right then and there. It was such a cool lesson, and really guided by the spirit. She woke up early and came to church yesterday, she loved it, and the whole ward already loves her. This gospel has changed her life so much in the past few weeks, and it has been fun watching her life change for the better.

Obispo found out I play piano (the one time I played in sacrament he wasnt there). 5 minutes before sacrament he asked he if I could play the first two songs and which songs I could play! So I ended up playing come, come ye saints, and another spanish sacrament song. Then got to lead the music when his daughter played the last two (she is learning and only knows how to play so many songs). Pretty good set up we had going though. After Obispo asked me to make a list of songs so when he needs me to play he has a list to choose from. I have a feeling ill be playing often, but hey ill learn!

Overall pretty good week! I hope y'all had a good one too!
