11/5/2018 Rain + Biking = "Wet Rats"

Bueno!

Highlights of the week:
-Halloween was fun, we had a lesson with Marcelino and Maria and their whole family, they are my favorite! They have so much desire to learn, its just hard teaching to all their needs so we have some good plans for them this week to help them all learn more.

-We had our interviews with President Bingham this week, and we had gotten to the church at 6pm to do so, we waited and he texted saying okay maybe 7pm instead. We were like okay awesome we can go contact people and grab something to eat and be back by 7pm! So we went out, we talked to some people and grab yougurt con fruta at michocana. By this time it was 6:45 and president had just texted us "ready", so we rushed to our bikes to find that it is down pooring!! We were about 5 minutes away from the church but still had to bike with our food in one hand... anyways when we were right outside the church building Hermana Page hit a pot hole and her Yougurt flew everywhere!! It was probably one of the funniest things Ive ever seen! But we had no time to worry about what just happened. We ran into the church and skyped President Bingham by this time its like 6:55, he sees us and just starts laughing! He goes "You two look like wet rats!", then throughout our interviews would randomly start laughing because he thought it was so funny. At MLC he brought it up again explaining the whole story and said "These two (and points to us...), they were so wet it looked like it was raining in the church!". Looking back on it, it probably was super funny seeing us dripping wet!

-We had our big mission leader meeting this week and it was super good and a very spiritual experiense. Our mission president is so salvaje (sorry thats how you spell it in spanish!) and I love it! We have an application our our tablets called Maas360 that keeps us from downloading any apps that arent approved/ keeps us focused. Well sometimes it doesnt work that well and when it doesnt some missionaries download different apps that we arent allowed to have like snap-chat... anyways president was talking to some missionaries about it and he was explaining it in our meeting, when he asked why they had those applications they told him "well president Maas360 isnt working" and President Bingham goes "Well is your agency working?!" It was pretty dang funny!!

-We had a big Regional Conference yesterday for church and Elder Holland spoke (it was broadcasted)! It was goos stuff. Our investigators came then left halfway through it so we missed a part of it, but all was well.

-Our ward had a Noche Internacional, where people from the different countires around the world performed dances, songs, and made food from their country. We probably had 200 people there, it was amazing! Avelina and John a couple we have been teaching came and they really enjoyed it. We also saw Obispo Saldaña from Blue Island and his whole family!!! It made my day, we saw them and it was one of those wait what is happening moments then everything made sense! It was so fun catching up with them, I guess they know the Obispo in Chi 5 and decided to come up for the activity. Overall the Noche was so fun, there was a Mariachi band and it was the coolest thing ever! I love the spanish culture so much!!!

- Avelina had her baptismal interview yesterday and she should be getting baptized this saturday! She has been learning for about a month, and her husband John just started learning last week, they are so fun and we are so excited for them.

Things are great and getting better, I hope you all have a great week!
