1/29/2018 El Fuego

This week has been a roller coaster ride. While we were sitting a zone conference we get a call from our on date investigator Nilda, telling us "Mi casa... Mi casa, es en el fuego!" (her house is on fire). Luckily they were able to put it out before it got really bad. But it was bad enough that she cant live there for a few weeks. She found a place to stay in Chi 2 the next ward over, which we are super grateful for. The Obispo in our ward has been working really hard with her and has helped her so much in the past few weeks. The ward has gotten really involved in her conversion and are super excited to find out she is still able to be Baptized here in Blue Island.

Overall Blue Island has been amazing, I love this ward so much and are so glad they are finally starting to see sucess. The members have started getting more involved, and I think by having this baptism next week they will have more of a desire to teach their friends, and help us with investigators.

It was a little rocky with a few investigators this week, but we were able to meet with them yesterday and re-establish why we are here. We were also asked to teach a grand-daughter of a member who wants to be baptized soon, so we are really excited about that.

We had a really great lesson with some members this week about Alma and Amulek (Alma 8) and how when they worked together the work of the Lord was able to touch the lives of so many. The 14 year old son took this to heart, and right as we were about to leave he said "Hermanas I have someone you need to teach". The members are starting to trust us and the work really is progressing. Things are GREAT and getting BETTER!

Love you all,

Hermana Cutler
