President has been really focusing on setting goals each week, then reporting on what went well and what needs to be better. It has helped us focus a lot more on our key indicators. During our mission tour Elder Anderson gave us some great advice on how to accomplish our goals. He told us to work backwards, breaking it down on how we are going to get there. It has worked super well here in Blue Island!
Two weeks ago we decided to set a pretty high goal for contacts made since we have been struggling reaching that down here. Well as we did this we found seven new solid investigators for that week! But we struggled at getting our investigators to church. So this past week we decided to set a high goal for people at church, focusing on that for the week. Yesterday we ended up having four different families come to church!! Having 6 investigators there! Plus the Elders brought a family, in total our ward had 9 investigators!! I have never seen that church building so packed!! usually between both missionaries we have 1-2 investigators every week at church. Obispo was so happy!
Few cool things that happened in the past few weeks:
- We put an investigator on date through a facebook messenger lesson... I never thought facebook would work so well for missionary work!!
- Ward activity: Noche de Película we got to watch the new movie Coco!!
- Noche de Volleyball with the jovenes
- Running along lake shore drive in the city
- Fasting brings Milagros
- An investigator gave us a plant as a present that we accidentally killed within the week...
- I am the new ward Pianist...
- received a food platter from the best family ever!

Things are great and getting better in Blue Island!!
