7/23/2019 Let the changes begin...

Bueno!!

We recieved transfer calls last night from President Bingham who told us Hermana Pressley will be getting transfered down to Chi-Heights (sad day, I only got to serve with her for one transfer) and that I will be getting a missionary from the west side of the mission... still not sure how I feel about this. Anyways he precedes to tell us both of our new companions names, not that we have heard of either of these names before but he said the names and we just looked at each other like... what? Thats most defienetly not english. Honestly im still not sure how to say her name let alone write it so ill letcha all know that next week! Anyways my companion is aparently from Mexico City, Mexico! And President said "she most definetly speaks better spanish than english..." so im super pumped to have another native companion!!!

Highlights:
- I tried Sushi this week, and I LOVE it!! I never thought I would like it, but sometimes you just gotta try new things.

- Someone in the ward professed their love for Hermana Pressley (a 50 yr old man) so that was fun...

- We had the best lesson ever with our investigator Denise, the Elders came to give her a blessing and the spirit was so strong. Afterwards she was so happy and had the BIGGEST smile on her face. We then watched the 20 minute resto video and she loved it. She has such great faith and I have seen this gospel change her life so much (for the better) in the last couple of weeks. Im excited to be able to stay and continue working with her!

- So last Zone Conference President really stressed the importance of members, and bringing them to citas with us. We have been working really hard at that lately and have had some sucessful experiences. One of which we brought Bishop Rydalch of the english ward to and it was such a good lesson. Our investigator could feel the importance of coming to church and without us even telling her, she decided she needed to change and get work off on sundays so she can start coming.

- We met Gary!! Super redneck guy who wanted a Book of Mormon.  It was funny chatting with him. He saw our Chevy Malibu and was like "shoot how do I become a missionary so I can get me one of them cars?". Then before we left made us sign and date his copy of the Book of Mormon, he even wrote the exact time! I thought it was so cool!

- Hermana Pressley and I played a duet in both sacrament meetings on the piano. We played an arrangment of "Where can I turn for Peace?", it was such a beautiful song and fun to learn!

Anyways I got another 6 weeks ahead of me here in Woodstock with this new companion, so there will be lots more adventures to come!!

Corn Update:
The corn stocks are twice my size, and finally starting to change color! Cant wait to start eating some FRESH corn!!

¡Love y'all tengan una semana fantástica!
